So I've been having so much trouble with apitasia and a few days ago before I left for my honey moon (still on it but wife is a asleep :p) my blastos had one pop up right underneath it and pretty much melted it away. So that was the last straw and was going to get berghia nudibranhes but it was going to cost a lot more then I was intending to spend. 160 and up for just the minimum for my size tank and so my wife would more then likely kill me. In looking more into it I've learned about the matted filefish. Cute lil guy and read theyre not a hit or miss as often as peppermints. Reef safeish except for shrimps. now if I were to get one I worry about my butt head of a kole terrorizing the filefish. I was thinking of rearranging rock to where he filefish can get to the apitasia easily and pretty much resetting my koles territory. I was also thinking about renting out mu filefish to people in my local club who have problems as well with aiptasia. Any no no's? Also yes im still upgrading but itll be a few moths before we even get ready for the move.

I bought a matted file fish and I'm happy I did. He's become a great member of the family. Always out and about. He was shy the first few weeks. He obliterated my aptasia. I had hundreds in my 125, I almost took the tank down. I don't like buying animals for tank problems but I planned on keeping him so it's a win for the family because he's so cool.

Mine took about 3 weeks and he would eat at night. Very shy the first few weeks but now he's all over. I don't have one aptasia left
