I don't see why it would a bad idea. If it is something you want to do, then honestly, who cares what others think lol. Just have fun with it.

 

OH yeah, I wouldn't get hung up on the ratings of threads lol. I don't think any of my threads have even been rated lol

I like the idea you have going with this tank. I do like that the rock sticks out above the water line. Though I'm not sure if you realize you will have a line of salt creep along that water line. Aside form that, I really like the build so far! I do think an emerald crab would come out of the water...as would any hermit crab, and also a porcelain crab and large nerites.
