This should be pretty neat. I think a macro algae garden with a small sea horse would be sweet. Put a ton of pods In there. And you could use them for the large tank. Good luck I'll be tagging along. Ever think of drilling it, and having a small lr sump?

yes i have! if i did that i would just stick a bulkhead in there with some egg crate to keep inhabitants in and send some pvc down to a small 5.5g sump.

OR i would just do an overflow.

I think a bulkhead with a strainer on it would be fine, maybe a foam guard on it, cuz flow would be low anyway. Well you would want it that way. And perhaps an egg crate cube around it to keep large things away from it. I think it would be easy? And make it easy to take care of, maybe a Rubbermaid bin as a sump filled with lr, dsb, mangrove what ever. Or another 10 gallon tank from Wally world.

Hi, I'm no expert but I've been keeping mangoves for a couple years. I have my most recent mangroves (14) in a filter/refugium that's on my 80 gallon. I've had them since July. They aren't really tall enough to go in the main tank yet, but i might have to transfer them soon.

They would scortch if they were under the halide but seem to do fine with more indirect lighting.

But definetly worth it. They have already lowered my nitrates considerably.
