Should i add a flame angel as my 4th and final fish?

  1. No, i wouldn't risk it with the corals.

Are you sure your params are good? Sounds like it could either be an oxygen problem or maybe ammonia.

Yeah, check ammo an ph. If you ph is normal its probably not oxygen. You could put a bubbler in just in case though

Why are your trates 10? Maybe bump up your water changes to fix that? I did mine every week until they are 0, now i do 1 every 2 weeks.

Hopefully the goby stops! I agree with adam..ammonia or oxygen. Since there isnt any ammonia, maybe lower the water level for more oxygen? Add a bubbler?

Yeah maybe i should do weekly until the trates drop.

If it was oxygen wouldnt my corals and clowns be upset too?

Sometimes fish just act different. Some might love it some might hate it. Same goes with corals. Your sure the goby isn't looking good though? It doesn't sound like the parameters are off or anything. A bubbler could raise the ph or just aiming the powerhead at the surface more. Just need some more oxygen, or less co2.

he's just... less active. i doesn't perch, he just lies on his belly. and he has a small cut on his mouth. still eats though.... maybe he didn't get much to eat while i was gone?
