Should i add a flame angel as my 4th and final fish?

  1. No, i wouldn't risk it with the corals.

  2. go for it! as long as you keep it fed it shouldn't be an issue.

Purdy good. Just waiting for it to get back to normal. It had a week of minimum lighting while I was gone. I guess it's just recovering. I'm waiting for one of them to split so I can start fragging them!

The goby is NOT well. He came out of hiding and started swimming around the tank like crazy. He's currently stuck against the overflow breathing hard. He tried to jump out.

He's dead. :( Just got home from the lfs and found him.

The man at the lfs said that it was probably the heat spike to 85 while I was on vacation. At first, I showed him the video of his gills and he said it was just the heat hurting his gills. Then I showed him the video of him swimming around like crazy and he said he's probably got a bacterial infection. He said it's incurable and I should be prepared to find him. Well I got home ten minutes later and here was belly up.

I'm going to need to get LEDs alot sooner before I leave for summer. My tank idles at 82, and that's with the house at 75. I need to get the LEDs so that the tank doesn't heat up like it did. I also plan to install a fan on the tank.

    :(

Man thats a bummer dude. Sorry to hear. You def need to get that temp under control ASAP. 85 is a tad hot. LEDs would help, and so would more circulation in and out of the hood. Try looking at DIY a 2 computer fans, one flowing in, and one out. I had just 1 small on on the canopy of the 20 and it chilled the temp so quick! its easy to do, and you can use an old cell phone charger, and heatshrink and your good to go.

Yeah I don't know how long it was at 85 either. I want it down around 75-78 and LEDs should help. I could easily install two more fans in my hood. I'm probably just going to go with a couple panorama pros. its the cheapest and easiest option.

Yeah. Hey sorry man. It happens to the best of us. If you can get LEDs right now, just put in a computer fan. They are a lot cheaper and help a lot. Someone at AA got two for a 10 gal and it lowered the temp from 84 to 78. That would be a lot easier to do also. Good luck man.
