Should i add a flame angel as my 4th and final fish?

  1. No, i wouldn't risk it with the corals.

  2. go for it! as long as you keep it fed it shouldn't be an issue.

Haha. Topless? Youll have alot of evaporation. Plus, i never risk it. I would kill myself if a fish jumped. I dont care about the odds

I don't think he means completely topless lol. If I read this right, he will have a mesh screen on the top of the BC.

correct! the mesh will protect my fishes(and that hot piece of wrasse thats coming my way in a month;)) and will not really effect light output. ill have a piece of plexiglass covering the return section of my back chambers to keep evap down. i keep the door to the back chambers open 24/7 anyways so not much should change.

and 99.99999999% of evap takes place in the return section, with it covered it will slow it down without effecting gas exchange for the rest of the tank.

Wouldn't most of the evap come from the display part where most of your water movement is?

the water in my DT doesn't seem to evaporate. its because its constantly replenished with water from the sump. the DT level stays constant, the sump fluctuates.

Of course. I would bet that your water is actually evaporating from your DT though and you don't notice it because the water drops in your sump to compensate for the loss. ;D
