Should i add a flame angel as my 4th and final fish?

  1. No, i wouldn't risk it with the corals.

  2. go for it! as long as you keep it fed it shouldn't be an issue.

Sounds good. Try feeding around that area next time so he recognizes it as food.

I love my Fishneedit fixture. It's great for the price. Powerful too. Metal halide bulbs are expeeeennnsiivee.

yeah, but Mattias, remember ya get what ya pay for! I'd consider either of those, but not sure that I'd put in a $15 metal halide bulb! A decent bulb is prob gonna be $50-100 plus to 2 actinics at about $15 a piece, so lets say $80 a year for new bulbs, or about the same for the T5's and the T5's will allow you greater color options for your tank!

IMO, I'd say ya hold off, get a lawn mowing gig, save the extra $100 and get the rapid 24 dimmable kit! Why'd ya drop the led wish again, sorry I forgot. But your prob gonna wanna replace the stock bulbs in 3 months anyways, so its really only $20 for the led's, then that $80 you'll save a year in bulbs can go to corals, or your tank upgrade!;)

LEDs where dropped because i need to fix this lighting thing FAST before the summer heat comes, i don't have enough time to save for LEDs. I'm thinking ill just get the fishtneedit t5s.

i plan on getting an AI sol nano sometime in the fall.;)

oh and that tank upgrade... I'm thinking ill get a regular old 36" 30g once i get a job next year.:)

yeah they make more sense to me since it is a heat issue thing. I'm sure ya can unload it this fall for a few bucks too.

You have to remember that halides put off a lot of heat and will run the power bill up as well. I would stick with just T5's for now. And get a 40 breeder when Petco runs their sale lol. You can get if for $40 instead of the regular $120.
