Ok I was mad and venting. New plan: I went to the lfs and they said just mix the sand as much as possible so that I can catch the particles in the water Collum with my filter fiber. Then once my water has cleared me dad said he would get me some sand(I'll go with live). So basically I'm trying to catch the fine dusty particles. I'll replace my filter fiber once a day until most of the sugar sand is gone. Then I'll add live sand on top of the existing sand.

 

Also, I'll be getting rid of the 750.

 

By the way, adding larger sand on smaller sand won't do anything. The larger sand will just end up under the fine sand.

 

Are you sure? I though that the smaller grain would make its way to the bottom.

Ammo: .25 or .50 hard to tell.

 

If you are going to be getting more sand anyways, just use the Solo cup method to remove the sand. Using your filter fiber to catch the fine particles of sand floating around doesn't sound like a good method to me.

 

60% of it has already been removed. My the time I add more sand it will only be like 30% sugar sand.
