Should i add a flame angel as my 4th and final fish?

  1. No, i wouldn't risk it with the corals.

  2. go for it! as long as you keep it fed it shouldn't be an issue.

I don't think the led will make the macroalgae grow much.

Really? I'm hoping we can make the FW fixture work. I'll hacksaw it in a little. I bet I can make it work.

Lol I really love my freshwater LEDs so if I can keep them there that'd be awesome.

I don't see any mention of LED on this page or the previous. LEDs will work fine for growing macro algae, but the color should be in the lower Kelvin temp range. A 6500k would be best, but I think anything lower than that would be good too.

What about the JBJ LED Nano? I have that right now and it seems to keep everything alive back there.

I thought about that one but I don't wanna spend too much on a light. If the indcadesent doesn't work I'll go led.

Alright it's up and looks really nice. I'll get a mangrove and ball of chaeto tomorrow and see how it does. [IMG][IMG]

I'll be running the fuge light from 10:30pm- 7:00am so I'll be able to take it down in the morning and put it back up at night. That way the lamp is only up at night when no one has to look at it.

Good job bud! Hopefully that cycle will hurry up for ya. I hated waiting for mine to finish... i did it the "wrong" way by adding a damsel to the tank so i guess i had that to watch for the time being, but having no life i bet its a bit discouraging...

Just take it slow and watch it grow. Resist that urge to add all those fish and corals quickly, because youll go thru some phases of gross algae and what not, but im sure youve got a handle on things ;)
