    I suppose the backup and full siphon could be elbows. The tees with caps are there so you can remove the cap to clean out the drain pipe if you ever have to

    Why not just use unions? It's what they are for?

    I have a union on all three of my drain pipes about half way down. But I know that if for some reason there were ever a clog, they are the LAST things I would take apart. I can barely get to them. I can unscrew the top cap and look right down the pipe, and even reach my fingers back through the bulkhead. Its just an easy way to monitor the inside of your drains.

    Oh, I have 2 unions on the vertical of each of my lines...just after the bulkhead, and down where the lines go back into the stand.
