    I'm not sure on that aspect of it. I've not run an external pump before. Though I can't imagine running a pump internally or externally would make all that much difference in the noise level.

    If you go external, you gonna have to drill the sump. I tried external, but the used MagDrive leaked on me so I had to go internal. In theory, internal would be quieter because the water would absorb the noise but not much. I use Rio 10HF for the return. I like it considering the price and the small size.

    Have you had fish tanks before? Trust me, you will go through a lot of pumps and powerheads :)

    Awesome, where did you purchase from? Most places I've seen want $8-9 for a single 1" bulkhead.

    Just ran a test with my pump in the tub and i was not to happy about how loud it was. Then again I have nothing to refrence it to, as I have no experience with aquarium pumps. It's not horrible at all, hair would expect better with the name quite one
