Just bought a 3 stage rodi unit locally for 60 bucks. The seller threw in a 35 gallon trash can. Now i am going to need sand salt and rocks. What kind of salt should I buy?

Just my 2cents, but I just started mine not to long ago and have been using Red Sea Coral Pro. So far so good, pH and other params have been in line and stable. I'm sure others can give you more recommendation, like I said just my 2 cents.

I use seachem.. Its cheap and works just fine. IMO.. I don't think it really matters all that much which mix ya go with.

I"m on the opposite side of the spectrum.

I use salinity salt because it comes with a guaranteed lab tested analysis of the actual contents of the bucket you get. So you know exactly what's going in your tank. Your salt is like dosing. Good salt can make a big difference IMHO.

The only one I really don't like is Instant Ocean. Levels like Cal and Mag change batch to batch. My friends Mag level dropped real low and he got a bryopsis outbreak. Got some Kent salt because the price is reasonable and the levels are always the same.

If I could get salinity here locally, thats what I would use. I've heard really good things about it but I only have 1 LFS and they don't carry it.

I have been doing a bunch of research on salt, i think i will settle with red sea pro. I dont believe it, but i was given the green light by the boss to order the rest of my items. I will be ordering a bucket of salt of Red sea pro, 2 750 koralia evo's, I need sand, also need some rocks. Where should i get my sand/rocks, and how much of each? also will be ordering a light fixture, not sure yet, debating 36" 3 ft T5 Lighting Aquarium Cichlid Saltwater 156W LED 4x 39 Watts Lamps | eBay vs 36' METAL HALIDE 250 4X 39 T5 HO AQUARIUM LIGHT MOONLIGHTS LUNARS HOOD NEW | eBay. Also guys what should i use for heater? are 500 Watts Heater Submersible Adjustable Auto Aquarium Fish 100g 500W Odyssea | eBay any good? Thanks for all the great advise so far guys.
