    They all seem to be decent products as far as I can tell.
    Some people like Odyssea stuff, some not. I really thought about getting Odyssea or FishNeedIt. I have emailed the latter, very fast response (wasnt perfect English, but who really cares, right?). But I didnt get either, since I took a different route (DIY LED).

    So should i go with the mh or just t5? And where should i get my sand and live rock

    I was really happy with marcorocks. I got 50 lbs of the base rock and 40lbs of the sand and think it looks great!

    I heard BRS's Pukani Dry rock is pretty nice too, it's supposed to give you the best volume by pound and I think you can order however many lbs you want.

    [Edit] I just noticed you asked for live rock, sorry about that :p great thread btw the builds looking awesome

    I am going to go with 40 lb or sand from marcorocks, and i will look for some live rock locally. lmr2o thanks man! Any and all advise is very welcomed. and as far as for the lights not sure yet guys lol. and for test kits? oh and the heater?

    I'm no expert on lights but I guess it depends on what you want to keep?


    As far as test kits go this is what I picked up. It's not too expensive and seems to cover what you need to watch during the cycle (Ammonia Nitrites & Nitrates. Its the API Saltwater testkit From what I understand you'll have to test for other things in the future but I think this is a good to start with
