I am very pleased with it. Now to start researching on how to drill it. Any tips?

I used the Glass-Holes 700 kit. I really need to update my thread...

Get the 14oz jar of plumbers putty to make a well/dam around the hole. the masking tape the inside of the tank to catch the plug and seal the water in till the hole is finished. Put the drill clutch at the lowest setting. Start at an angle to center it then go to town.

Make sure that the water level is where you want it. Meaning the main tank water level never changes when it's operating. Water level in the sump goes down. Align the Glass-hole overflow box correctly and mark it.

I saw that kit. I though it was kind of expensive. But if its a good kit then I might just get it. I saw one that was just glass. Are there any cheaper options

Biggest question right now is drilling. Where do i get the drill bit. And what size should it be for a 40B. I'll ask about plumbing later.

You can get the diamond coated drill bits on eBay, if you cant find it locally. But you are gonna need something like this for the return anyway, might as well, order the drill bit for the drain and bulkheads at the same time to save on shipping.

As for the hole sizes, I think 3x 1" for the drain, and 1x 1/2" for the return will do the job for your 40B, I think.
