    lol it's the way to go, much cheaper and you can make it exactly how you want! there's so many good DIY LED threads and i bet youtube videos too. Gotta love the interwebs :p

    To whoever actualy still looks at this thing I have great news. I sold my t5 lights on Sunday and have ordered a diy kit from rapidled.com. here is a pic of how the tank looked before selling my lights

    I'm going with 24 for now. Yup they will be dimmable. I purchased the dim controler from rapid in order to control it

    I'm starting up a 40b right now,and it seems they are everywhere on here now. The tank is looking great now, can't wait till the rapid LEDs are on. I am thinking about them in the future.
