They usually come with a 1/2x2" strainer that slips up on the inlet port of the pumps Impeller housing Like Luna asked did it not come with a strainer for the pump ?

He may have to McGyver something. I had to. I had a PH that ripped up a turbo snail.

this is what i have. Basically the chromis swim near it and get sucked against the cover, not inside.

Ohhhhh dig it. Is there any way to structure something around it (like LR)? Does your wall go up that high? Otherwise, I cannot think of a thing. Sorry.

I have this mod for my maxi jet 1200, usually if the fish is healthy it should not be able to get stuck to it, unless an unreasonalbe amount of flow. I have 3 chromis and so far they have gotten near it, but just swim away. Were the fish new to the tank?

the only thing i can think of doing while keeping the flow is putting some sort of wire cage around the powerhead. it is located near the surface so rock around it isn't a choice. the chromis have been in the tank for 2 months. the sureflow is only a week old.
