i have a ph ? i have a maxi pro 900 i was looking at the parts and it came with a venturi hose that makes bubbles in the water for o2 is it a bad thing to use it. I had it running last night just to put some air bubbles in the tanks.

With bubbles come problems like salt creep. Plus bubbles will cling to things in the tank and then algae likes to grow on top of that and it makes for an unsightly tank, IMO anyway.

If you have a skimmer running then there's really no need to introduce any more bubbles, the skimmer will help keep the water well oxygenated.

The venturi hose is there for fresh water use. like JP said if you have a skimmer it will bring o2 to the water. And you can always put a PH high up so it agitates the surface of the tank... that will help with o2 exchange as well.
