I got my Razors in and overall I am impressed. I already had 2 120W LED lights from blueline (older model) that I was replacing due to not being able to Dim them and I didn't like the white/blue ratio. Additionally, I had to augment my old lights with a 420nm T5 as they lacked that spectrum. It is nice to have everything available, all in one.

I have a 120G 48X24X24 Tank. To cover the tank, these lights needed to be mounted considerably higher than my last lights, and considerably higher than the brackets they come with allow. Once I raised them to about 10" AWL they looked much better and the light spread across the tank in a more uniform fashion with less spotlight effect.

Excuse the ugliness of the tank, in the middle of a Migano explosion I am trying to take care of - pictures are more for display of light, not my tank :).

The first picture is at 6.5" with brackets, you can see the dark strip down the middle and more of a spotlight effect.

The Second Picture is mounted on top on my canopy bringing it to about 10" AWL.

I would say these are equally bright to my last LEDs with the ability to have gradual increases and decreases timed into the day as well as ability to adjust color temperature better. The default 100%/100% 16K gives my corals a nice pop.

Happy to answer any questions I can. The pictures are a bit overexposed, but I left them that way so you could see the distribution of light across the tank and where the columns of light were created.

I also have these lights and think that they are a significant upgrade from another popular brand that I did think looked good in my office. I have a 135 gal 72 inch tank so uses a combination of 2 20 inch and 1 27 inch unit. Have had for about 2 weeks and there is no question that the response from all of my many corals has been positve as well as just better color.

Could you show me how you have them mounted? full tank shot + lights?

I'm looking to purchase these for my 120 gallon (4ft) as well, though i'm leaning more towards the 10k.

    Sincerely,

You could have been ok with just 1 27" fixture mounted about 12" above tank as long as your sps were not at the ends. Just have cranked the power up higher

I'd also like to see a picture of your mounting if possible. I'm day 2 into cycling my 90g (48"), and am leaning towards the razor, but having a really hard time deciding.

    Thanks

Do you think there'd be much shadow from a center brace on my 48" 90g? Not sure if I could get away with one 27" fixture, or if two 20" would be better.

    Thanks

Two 20.5 ones would suit you better, I just picked up the 27inch version and am using it on my 30" cube and its a perfect fit. for your 48" i would do two personally.
