I have a 30 gallon tank with mostly sps. The fish I have are 1 flame hawkfish, 1 six line wrasse, and 1 bangaii cardinal. No agression and the six line is very peaceful. Could I add green chromis, and if so, how many? Any other ideas on fish if that can't work?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Chromis do much better in groupings in larger tanks, in small ones you usually end up with just one. Since they tend to fight for territory in smaller tanks IMO you are best to add just one. I do not see too much of an issue with adding one.

A Fire fish might be a nice addition as well as long as you have a lid.
Yellow Watchman Goby as well, but need a lid.

The fish types that you currently have are smaller fish, you would be maxed out at four IMO.

You could add maybe 3. Make sure the number is odd. Also make sure they do not have a black patch on their pectoral fins. Those are more aggressive and grow larger.

I agree with this. While the Sixline maybe fine with your current fish don't be surprised if it hassles newcomers.:(

I would only add one more fish to your tank.

I would stick with those 3 that you already have. If I were to add anything, it would be a a sand sifting goby or maybe a mandarin.

This offer is very tempting: Daily Deal | Reefs2go.com

+1 about your stocking level. I think it's best to err on the side of caution with light - medium stocking and light feedings.

On the other hand, while some people have done it, I do not have a mandarin in my 29. I also don't suggest it to others who don't have an established tank and haven't done the research to be sure they have the means to care for one. That ad from Reefs2Go is a good deal (price only). But I see it as somewhat irresponsible in a way too (not to get into a debate). The low price just encourages people even more-so that might already be interested in one, as if feeding your tank with the one container of pods will suffice for the life of the organism.

Most dragonets are cheap, they are easy to get, not keep.

Maybe a chromis wouldn't be that good of an idea then... Its for my mom, not me. I don't like how they look if they aren't in groups. I've heard firefish are shy if they aren't in groups either, but I like the purple ones. I would rather not go with a yellow watchmen goby, I've never heard of a success story with them, and Id like something more active. The hawk perches so it's only the cardinal and wrasse in the column.
