So im thinking of purchasing the volitan lionfish from saltwaterfish.com. It says that it is eating live brine, and meaty foods. Do I have to feed live? I mainly feed krill, and frozen brine...would this be okay????

i would assume meaty foods means frozen things like brine too. But this isn't up to us or you its up to the fish.

Have you ever heard the saying you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink?

well after you lead the horse to the water and i does not drink does not mean you can train it. right? but also i cant remember the name but it is like a lizard that will not eat a dead cricket it needs to "lock on". so i believ that it would posibly eat dead cuz i know my lil. brother has some animals that can eat dead but not all. so all i could say is buy a older one from some one that feeds dead. but be prepaird as at any time it can stop.

Some animals(fish) can be trained to eat other types of food, I would assume most lionfish can.

I don't want to say definitely you could train it because there is always one fish that just refuses.

Krill and brineshrimp are both inappropriate foods for a lion.

If they are saying he's eating meaty foods he's already converted. Find out what meaty foods they were feeding. I have no idea what they are thinking with the brineshrimp, even if he's only an inch big.
