    Never heard of hellmans but, usually mayo but realy depends on the sandwitch. I like both with different things.;D

    Divott I agree, Hellmans all the way although if need be I will accept mw if mayo is not available.

    here, mayo is reffered to as hellman's (it's the major brand, and I think we only call it that so the significant other doesn't come home with some tangy mess that would ruin our sandwiches) around my place the only other brands of mayo are the store brands no other majors that I know of

    Actually Hellman's and Best are 2 different brands of mayo. Hellman's is by far the best thing for a sammich.

    Hellmann's and Best Foods Mayonnaise -- overview and history

    The two most popular brands of mayonnaise in the United States are Hellmann's Mayonnaise and Best Foods Mayonnaise. From time to time, a barbecue cook will ask where Hellmann's can be purchased in California or where Best Foods can be purchased on the east coast.

    Hellmann's Mayonnaise and Best Foods Mayonnaise are made by the same company, Unilever Beast Foods. The Hellmann's brand is sold in the East while Best Foods brand in sold in the West. The Hellmann's Web site says:
