Mazarra Led/ AI SOL

anyone using Maxspect Mazarra LEDs? I am debating between this and AI SOL.

 

Tagging along I love those marazzas and have long considered the same options.

 

What size tank?

Im thinking on any size tank but just for S&G let's say a 150 Gallon 72.5x18.5x28.5

 

I would think at a minimum you would need 4 AI SOL (at a minimum!) I dont know much about the mazarra unit.

 

More like 3 AI sols or 4 Mazarras, 5 if SPS heavy.

 

On my tank im running 3 ai sold at 16" off the water and my tank is 6' long im still only running at 60 percent

I am really looking forwaqrd to the AI Vega as many of my concerns about the Sol are resolved. Unfortunately the cost of the AI Vega leapfrogs the Maxspect coming in at $500/unit.

 

Good comparison. Even with the jump in cost to the Vega AFAIK in most situations you will need less of these vs. the Maxspect therefore lowering the total cost?

 

Looks great, depth 29.5 I'm assuming.
