Looking for some opinions on a McCoskers Wrasse in a biocube 29, only other inhabitant is a yellow clown goby. Not that it matters much in the case of this fish but also a 15g sump. I know LiveAquaria states 55g, however as we all know not everyone agrees on LA's recommendations for every fish. Thanks.

These guys actually do get good sized (about 4" length) and do need a lot of swimming room. They should be given 3' tank width minimum IMO. I know Hunter (Evolved) will back me up on that one. For a 29 biocube, look into Possum Wrasses instead. I have one in my JBJ 28 and it is a great sized tank for them.

Thats what I was figuring. I'd love to put one in my 90g but it isn't a covered tank and I don't wanna chance him going carpet surfing.

And it would for sure if you did put one in the 90. I really like the Possum Wrasses though, so definitely look into them :)

You'll definitely need a cover for about any flasher or fairy wrasse. They love to jump.

He is roommates with a blue damsel and a Percula clown. He minds to himself and isn't bothered by his roommates. He is a little shy, coming out front every now and again. He tends to swim back and forth on the back side of the tank, but comes out in front for feeding daily. I wish he would cruise the rocks like a 6-line, but maybe he behavior is altered in the smaller system. He'll be going into my 55 soon, so maybe his behavior will alter.
