    Congrats, you'll love him. Don't freak out when you finally find him sleeping against a rock, all cocooned in with mucus! :D

    So I watched my little guy bury itself in the sand last night, right before lights out. Is this common? or is it a reaction to still not being settled in the tank yet?

    For wrasses it is pretty common especially when they are recently added. Beautiful fish BTW ;)

    Flashers typically sleep in the rockwork, so a sand-dive seems a bit odd to me.

    If he's acting normal besides this, I wouldn't worry about it though. Yours may just prefer the sand at night.

    I did not think was normal for flashers, from what I have read. But he is a little skittish in the tank still, kinda staying in the same few spots, but no one is harassing him either. He is eating well, So I'm not too worried. Did see him scratch a couple of times on the rock, which is somewhat concerning as well. Nothing noticeable on the fins or body though.

    That may be pods or sand from his bed causing that.
