I have a beautiful maroon and gold clown that I now detest. He bites me every time I put my hand in the tank, that started the , he's not my favorite! He kills every fish I add to the tank, including the ones that went in when he did. If that's not enough he knocks ALL of my corals off their rocks. My tank is 47 gallons, and I can't catch the little devil!!
UUUggggggh ******!!!! HELP, how do I get him out? He's been in there since I started my tank!

Must be the sister to my female clownfish!

I had to remove her twice today alone, because she threw my digitata into my large mushrooms.

This is what I do, I have a small clear plastic container, she attacks it every time I, I just scoop her up when she gets between the container and the glass. I have been doing it for months without fail. She knows it is going to happen but she goes for it every time.

Good luck, I feel your pain.

I had a problem just like you with a Coral Beauty. I just had to end up taking all of the rocks and coral out, then net the fish. After that I just put everything back :)
You could try putting the net in for like an hour so the fish gets used to it. Then after an hour use the net to get him. You could also try to put food in the net. None of this worked for me (I just had to take everything out), but it might work for you! :)
    Hope I could help :p

    Your welcome! :)
Yea removing my rocks was an ABSOLUTE last option. Be patient though because if your not the fish might just get scared, and you will have to just wait until he comes out again. Then he will still be more cautious :)......Good Luck!

    In S. Arizona,

Good luck at the FS. If the trap dose not work, just keep trying the plastic sandwich container idea. I know Maroon clowns are vicious, her aggression will get the better of her and BAM, off to the FS she goes for the next unsuspecting victim lol.

go to walmart buy the smallest fish hooks you can find...take the barb off (squishing it with pliers works)...also get some super thin fishing line..put a piece of squid on the hook attach the other line to something (i used my wristwatch)...and go fishin...works like a charm...i had to get a sailfin out of my tank this way...and it was unbelievably easy...lol I tried EVERYTHING...and when i tried this it took me less than 5 min...and the fish was fine too! :)
