Mean Snail

I would yes, because they are my favourite FW fish, I have 1 x royal, 1 x nugget and 1 x mango - all pellet/ algae wafer fed in my FW set ups getting decent sized now, had them 3 years or so.

 

lol, mine is a little clown pleco, and since he married himself off to the driftwood, hes declared himself an ornament. Rather pugnacious when anyone gets close to his driftwood too, he kicks out the shark and the ropefish (he has no idea how tiny he really is).
Ah sooo off topic but its not like that snail is doing anything exciting at the moment.
Sorry if I came across as a "hater", I'm really not, lol.

 

no worries - Kuro - its a question of taste, if you want to hate a specific species of fish, thats OK - my hate is Domino Damsels (Sorry Damsels R cool) but those pugnacious fish get on my nerves - only ever purchased one, never again.

off topic maybe - but its your thread anyway and the cool thing with snails is they cant cause any harm quickly and they are very easy to remove even from a reef.

okay that's it, his third attempted snail murder and now my turbo snail is in the corner feeling violated.
He's now living in the floating trap.

 

Tell me about it, we put a 4 stripe damsel in our sales tank... I had two days off... I came back and our 5 inch fuzzy green mushroom had been mauled and picked until nothing but his little green mouth was left intact. Mushroom is regrowing, damsel is annoying someone elses tank now.

wow, mean snail has an issue with climbing flat vertical surfaces, ha! at least I don't have to worry about him getting out and eating my other snails while I sleep. And I wont show up at work looking sleep deprived and with the excuse of:
"There was this snail and-"
Yeah it wouldn't work.

 

Your mean snail is an ergalataxine murex, Ergalatax margariticola. They are known snail killers, although they may kill and eat a few other things. Nassarius may be too fast for them to kill, but Trochus and Astraea snails aren't.

Thank you for the ID, that is what it is ^_^
Now I dont know what to do with it, I kinda dont wanna put it back in my tank at work because I need a hermit free refuge for my snails (the front tank has enough hermits to make it a snail graveyard).

 

do what you gotta do Kuro , no-one will think bad of you

you dont want it, nobody else will want it

may sound cruel, but a pan full of boiing water, would be a quick end to your dilema?

if it where my mean snail, thats how this thread would end
