    Hi everyone!

I have a few questions, I have done my reading but I feel so much better getting info from my fellow reefers.

My specs: 15g, hydor ph, jagger heater, ac filter, 15lbs LR, 20lbs Livesand, LED lights.

Do you recommend running the filter with filter floss? I never did this with my 55g as I was concerned about nitrates but I have read a lot of ppl using the filter floss now.

I always run carbon in my filter, what else would you recommend?

I like to have floss in my filter - I know there are varying opinions of this and you do need to make sure to keep it changed frequently but I'm amazed at how much crud the floss pulls out.

OFK is right, If you stay on top of the filter floss it works and should not cause any problems. I have found filter socks are much easier to work with and you can wash them and reuse. Not sure if it would fit your application or not.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I run foam, rinse in SW weekly. I also run charcoal and GFO, and a skimmer. The only thing I am missing a carbon source.

I use the pads in my HOB. With a light bioload, I only need to change them every 4 weeks. I also run carbon and Phosguard.

Sounds good. I ran my filter floss for a week...man it was yucky looking.

I normally would change out floss and rinse off carbon with my weekly water changes so I should be good

    Thank you all
