Mechanical filtration needed?

    I'll give it a shot....

    But then what happens to all that stuff I am removing from my system weekly in the filter. I assume it will just be skimmed and then biologicaly removed.


    My whole thinking is remove as much waste as possible before it breaks down. Religious about turning the filter off at feeding, and mech filter as much as possible, then let the skimmer and tank take care of the rest and do 10% WCs weekly.

    My tank is clean, but is that too much???
