sorry guys I was working all weekend. She is doing good, hubby spied on her earlier and she was on her back again, but every time I peek she is up right. She has been hitting things, but I don't know if it was her exo or not.

Should I just uncover the tank and see what happens?

unfortunately Yoda has died. I don't understand what happened, she was doing so well and we kept her covered. The water was testing great and was staying at a constant temp.

Inwall is in the process of moving and has had his computer boxed up...but I was talking to him on the phone and he asked me to tell you this..........

He said...."Sorry to hear about your loss. Molting is very difficult on mantis, especially difficult on peacocks! Peacocks are more prone to shell disease then other mantis. Probably nothing you did wrong.....you never know what Yoda was eating prior to you getting her, and how she was doing before you got her"

    thanks guys.

We are going to the beach for a week in August but we decided that we will get another one after that. Probably just a small one though. Maybe a green one? or yellow?

    thanks guys.

Do you think that we could put a small like say 3 in mantis into our 8 gal and it be ok.... without getting a protein skimmer? We are researching a bit more this time.

If you did weekly water changes and don't let them hoard too much food it may be fine.
