Melanurus Dead.....

I went away for the weekend..before i left thursday night everything was great..my melanurus wrasse looked fat healthy and happy..had my roommate feed 3/4 cube of brine on saturday..dose the 2 part every morning..and top off the tank with RO...I didn't get home until after lights out last night and when they came on this morning i saw a fleshy ball drifting along the bottom..so i waited to see who it was...the scooter blenny came out..then the blue sided fairy wrasse..no melanurus....did tests and the only things different was that my nitrates were around 20..usually a little lower..and my alk was slightly lower than normal..My roommate said that the power flashed on and off a few times but didn't go out for any extended periods..so I'm not too sure what has happened...this sucks...

On a brighter notes..for those of you who saw my "cloudy water getting ridiculous" thread for my freshwater tank....the new substrate was the cure i believe..after 4 days the water is crystal clear!

 

wow...well she's okay!! I'm really confused because there is a white fleshy ball floating around i haven't had a chance to get out yet..It's just weird because she's always the very first up in the morning..guess she decided to sleep in! This makes my day! i was pretty bummed about it..

 

Thats good news to hear, must have felt your heart stop when she was no where to be found.!

 

definitely! but why wouldn't it be my favorite most expensive fish? haha
