    Feeling lucky? :cheesy:

Sarcasm aside, I wouldn't. If it's actually a sub-dominant male and not a female, prepare for an epic bruja.

    OK, I won't do that....

but adding another female (or one that looks female) would be ok?

Actually female, yes. Looks female (but might be sub-dominant male), yes if yours is actually female, but no if yours is actually male (sub-dominant).

Moral of the story: 2 males of the same species, regardless of "stage" = playing with fire.

My best tip/advice, when adding another wrasse (to a tank with existing wrasses), use an acclimation box. Leave the new arrival in the box for 2-3 days in the DT before releasing it. This will cut down on the risk of long term aggression, as well as give you time to observe how the existing inhabitants and the new inhabitant are interacting. If there's a decent display of aggression between them through the acrylic acclimation box, you'd best rethink releasing the new arrival.

A box like this is awesome: 4CORAL.COM
Use a piece of PVC inside it.

Congrats, great add. Of course if you really want a male, you could send it to me and buy a male ;D

That's pretty cool! I'm not sure that I want to chance the adding two males, though... I'm going to just enjoy the fish I have... :)

Hard to get her to sit still for some reason...

Her colors are awesome! I wish they showed up better on camera.

Yeah I hope it turns male, but if not, her colors are great anyway...

It could be wishful thinking, but I feel that it is reacting somewhat to my female pyles fairy wrasse.
