    glad to hear yours does behaves very well, have you tested yours with other peaceful fish like firefish and other wrasses? ive got a McCoskers and a Helfrichi firefish who are both extremely passive so im just really hoping my new wrasse will behave himself towards them

    most of my fish are larger.....he does very well though. really doesn't pay attention to anyone. he's too busy picking at the rock

    ok, i tried to take some pictures today. they are horrible. im not sure how you guys get some of the pictures i have seen. the wrasse is to quick. i did get some good pics of my kinda new zoas though (put in new thread)

    Oh wow, he is gorgeous!!! I might have to think about one of these guys for my tank.

    I think the male melanurus is one of the prettiest fish... the females are ugly as sin though.

    yeah, i have always been surprised that i dont see them that often in LFS around here. Beautiful fish and from what i can tell pretty hardy. the price wasnt bad so i am assuming they are collected fairly easily, that or not much of a demand

    our lfs brought one in because i wanted one and as soon as they saw what they look like, he keeps a couple in stock now. I think i paid 25 for mine or something like that

    I read that they aren't very popular for some reason. Just not a lot of people know about them. If LFS regularly stocked them I bet they would really take off because they are so pretty.

    hopefully mine will be ok with smaller sized fish if yours is ok with the big guys

    25 is good, thats what i got my McCoskers for at the lfs, BZA had my wrasse for like $35 or something like that i cant remember the exact price
