metal halide only?

    i have a 30gal tank with a 250watt mh is that enough and do i need other lights? or can i just use what i'm using.

    my tank is 98 gallons with 1 hallide of 150 watt with 2 flourecent t5's ,it all depends on what coral you are going to keep and if you're going to sell frags or not

    some people run only t5's while others run ony hallides

    I think you are good to go there .. :) You have plenty of light for about anything to much for some softs and LPS corals might want to make some rock overhangs to hide them up out of the light if you want to keep open brains and stuff like that or blastomusias and such. But on the lights you really need to run some Actanics that way you can limit the heat "and that will be a concern in that small tank " But you can run the 03 16 hrs aday and then the M/H for about 6 or 8 hrs.

    You should be fine with pretty much any type of coral! Be careful with the heat generated from the bulb though as you do not want the temp. of your water to fluxuate too much and/or become too hot!

    i have my sump in the basement so things are cool i watch the temp its all good.

    The main thing and key to your success, is the consistency of your water parameters. Fluxuations kept at a minimum are ideal!
