    Exactly. That's why I was suggesting try the electronics route they carry and deal in that stuff for other uses. Right now LED's are hit in aquariums so thru aquarium related channels your gonna pay the hot item price and they harder to find. Electronics shops LED's are more mainstream and with some effort searching you can probably find them cheaper.

    Look at egg crate for example. Aquariums shops and online it runs as much as $20 a sheet while it's 5-10 at hardware stores. Think outside the box.

    Moral of the story don't get fixated on shopping at the lfs, there are still local options and you might save some mOney as well.

    Thumbs down? Yes you can shop at other places, but hey, if we all got our LEDs at Radio Shack I don't think we would have this much of an LED explosion or this thread. Plus we woudn't have a hobby if not for LFSes.;)
    BVB I'd like to see this PAR38 guy.
