i am looking at getting one for my 30g long. it will be hung from the ceiling but i dont know how many watts i should stay around. i found a 150watt MH with two T5s but i also found a 442watt MH with two PC but i dont want to burn the coral that i am going to get. then again it will be hung. the 442watt is 36 in. long so it will be as long as the tank. the 150w is 17 in. long. both have moonlight leds also. so i kinda need some help with this one.. or size of the light doesnt really matter because its going to hang. just need to know what watt to go for, i dont want to over power the tank

IMO 17" would be to short and you would have to raise the light a lot to get a even spread. I would try to find a longer MH/T5, you'll be more happy in the long run with the t5's versus pc's ::)
