Metal Razor blade in tank

    is it cool to use a metal razor blade in the tank or a pair of metal scissors?

    Sure, make sure you rinse them well in tapwater and then dry them afterwards. Saltwater will make them rust quickly.

    I haven't had a problem yet. but it will scatch the glass ,if in a rush :angry:

    no problem... I've even used them after they started to get a little rust on them... but once they get rusty enough it's flaking... well, that's just too long to have been using it ;)

    Just make sure it's clean and not for use for other things (like your face!) ewe

    as far as im concerned its the best tool for removing algae! altho they do go rusty quickly. I wonder if there are special reef ones made of adonized aluminum? if not someone should invent it.

    You can use a very high chromium stainless steel to keep it from corroding. Like 18+%.
