    Any aluminum intend to be in/near contact with saltwater ends up getting anodized. And a hard anodize (type III sulfuric) will make aluminum as corrosion resistant (or better) as any alternative.

    Just got a quote back for powder coating... it is almost as much as the stainless steel stand! Any less expensive alternatives?

    Buy some of the roll on truck bed liner. It has worked well for me

    Powder coating around here is very inexensive, I had a full 4 seat roll cage from my Arctic Cat Prowler plus a light bar and several brackets sandblasted and powdercoated in my choice of colors for only $150.

    I have a metal stand for my 180 that was made from 1" square tubing. Stand is 42" high and is painted with black rustoleum.


    Stand is doing great
