I've recently added some Mexican turbo snails (very big), and they're doing a great job at eating up the green algae in the tank (although their like bulldozers). But I'm wondering if they're doing too good of a job. My tang and coral beauty like to nibble on the algae also. And will they eventually eat themselves out of their food supply?

Yes, they will eventually eat all the greenery and starve. I would suggest getting rid of the snails one at a time when all the algae is gone. You can keep a few. You can supplement the tang with dried algae. Ocean Nutrition makes a brown, green, and red colored freeze dried type algae. Buy a food clip and stick it on your glass and the tang will be happy.

Thanks reefman. So in your opinion (or anyone else's), do you recommend not getting these snails as part of a reef cleaner package? And while I'm on that subject what is your opinion of reef cleaners in general?

I have one Turbo in my 75G. I've had it for about 4 month and there is very little algae in my tank. I think in moderation you could keep one.
As for a clean up crew, They are IMO very important. Just stay away from the odd ball stuff like urchins, starfish and nudis until the tank is more mature. But a healthy population of Astrea Snails,Cerith Snails, Nassarius Snails, Red Scarlet Hermit Crabs, Left Handed Hermit Crabs are important to any reef
