Which MH Ballast would you go with?

    one thing i just realized... some say 250W ballast and some say 250W HQI ballast. how do i know which to get? i want HQI so naturally I would go with one that claims to be HQI. The Galaxy 250W does not state anything about HQI nor does this lumatek:

    Yet this dimmable one has a selector for 250/400/HQI:

    Pretty confused at the moment

    most electronic ballasts do fire both types...
    If its a magnetic, I believe it has to be pulse start?

    I know icecaps do both types. those galaxy ones do both. I assume both lumateks will do both and the only difference is the different wattage options...

    The LumaTeks do HQI, as well as Vertex. Positive IceCaps do as well.
