The bulb has a reflector as well as a UV protective glass face. It was just not bent all the way down and the light escaped out to the sides. I bent the reflector to the proper position but I will be upgrading them to better reflectors to prevent any light from escaping from the sides or from the ends.

I have been using eye drops all morning and wearing sunglasses in the house as well as closing my eye for a few min at a time and it is feeling better. I think I aggravated it by rubbing it. Ill see how it feels tonight.

I agree. That lighting set-up is wrong on many levels. You have already experienced the effects on your eyes as one, hopefully you will be OK. I imagine you will.
But there is also the possibility of those bulbs exploding due to spray. Could cause everything from electrical shock, fire, or just plain waste of expensive bulbs.
Get some proper, fully encasing reflectors on there pronto.
And a lesson to anyone else browsing through: this is a PRIME example why we stress so much not to skimp on your lighting. Save the money somewhere else in the build.
