    Hi,

My buddy has an outer orbit HQI light fixture. It's the one with 2 150 watt MH lamps. He's looking to replace them, and outer orbit recommends to use the powerpaq ones. Any idea it the fishneedit.com bulbs are compatible with his fixture?

    cheers.

Those bulbs will work and will be fine for corals that don't need much light. What type of corals does he grow?
If he's growing SPS then I would not buy those cheap bulbs.

that's good to know. I was under the understanding that bulbs are specific to the fixtures.

He does have SPS as well as a clam in his tank right now. They are doing well, and his MH bulbs are over 2 years old. I guess for the price, if they are garbage, he'll just buy better ones.
