MH Bulbs

The plusrite ebay bulbs are suppose to be decent. But usually the ones that come with any fixture aren't very good. Good to keep around as a back up.
I think for most of the corals you have a cheap bulb is just fine.

When you get into SPS corals it becomes more critical for best growth and color.

Alright I want to make sure I buy the right bulb for my fixture, Which one should I go with SPS or XM & How much kelvin 10k,14k,15k,20k? I like the look of a nice bright with a blue look.

This is my fixture 48' Metal Halide T5 HO Aquarium Light 150 HQI Moon NEW! - eBay (item 190377357195 end time Mar-07-10 11:31:19 PST)
& My corals are monti's, couple of sps, mushrooms, chalice, zoo's, feather duster, blastomussa, galaxia, leather coral, acans, GSP's, favite, glove coral, pulsing xenia, 1 crocea clam, 1 derasa clam.

 

So do you want looks or growth... Blue white or middle?
