isn't 10000K between white and blue also because 6500K is white. Is 14000K a little bluier than 10000K. So i wouldn't need actincs w/ 14000K. does nebody have them do they look nice. will my corals still glow under them as they would w/ actincs.

6500K is yellow the coralvue 10K is blueish white the 14K is bluish (perfect in my opinion) and the 20K is blue like windex! You do not need actincs with the 14K and your corals will have nice color with them!

With 14K bulbs they will. There is no need for supplemental actinics with the 14K. The 20Ks will make your tank look like you have nothing but actinic lighting it is so blue. The 10Ks will have to be supplemented or it will look weird.

In what your getting you will have two 14K halides and that is all. It will give you a look as if you had 10K bulbs with supplemental actinics. There will be no actinics that come on before the halides so you won't get the dark sort of actinic glow that you get from straight actinics. You will want to keep these on about 8 hours per day. If you start growing algae you'll want to pull it down to six hours. The 14K will give your tank the same bluish color as the actinics. I do not have 14K bulbs. I have 2x250 watt 10K MH and 2x54 watt T-5 actinics. I am thinking about switching over to 14K when it is time for replacement. My tank isn't as blue as I wish it were. I think you'll be happy with the 14K setup.
