Ive got my lights hanging about 14" off the surface of my water, and my corals are mid tank, and growing just fine, i can also still grow frags on the sandbed, i have the 20k reeflux bulb, and love it, its not extremely blue, and or to white for me its the perfect blend of lighting.

It really depends on the reflector. A standard parabolic reflector should be 8-10" or so, or you'll end up with more light on the wall than in your tank. Many of the higher quality reflectors can hang higher though. I have a Lumen Bright an the bulb is about 16" off the surface of the water. The Lumen Bright "mini" model can go even higher. The benefit to height though is you get less heat.

I'm not familiar with them. I would guess that it should be low. I don't think they use CAD designed reflectors or anything too fancy... Someone else may know, or you could ask them I guess.
