Looking for some insight. I have a 46g bow with a support acroos the top. Just wondering the best lighting solution? two MH's is pretty expensive one will leave a shadow in the coverage. Was looking at the 36" aqualight pro but the MH is right in the middle. Does anybody know anything about t5's or have a possible solution. would like to be able to keep clams and possibly sps.

What about a MH pendant? 250 or 400 W? You could hang it where you want.....Is the support made of plastic? I don't know if you would have problems with the heat of the lamp melting it or not. Where is the support? Center? You could get a retrofit for a hood and fit it yourself....
    :D

If you want clams or sps I would probably try to get some type of MH to work....IMHO :)

Hamilton makes a nice 2 bulb MH hood that would work nice. Take a look on my site and see if tey would work for you. Don't forget the 10% sale !

going for clams then MH is your best bet. lower light clams like a squamosa could thrive with PC.

ok well first of all...lighting is not all that u need good for corals and clams...basically if lighting is not good next goes to water parameters...so lets say clams need 6wpg...if u have 3 or 2 that means that ur tank needs perfact water...just my 2cent
