Good evening, last week I converted over to my new 120 and moved over all of my fish/corals from my old tank. I have not seen my yellow coras wrasse since I put him in a week ago. I know he did not jump out as the top is sealed off. I moved around the sand as much as I could and did not stir him up. Wondering when I really need to start moving rock around to find him. I know when I purchased him I did not see him for like a week then he appeared, curious if there is anything I can do, thanks!

    hi Muggle

have any of the fish been added since the upgrade? any personality issues that may have driven yellow to the sand bed?

it is common for wrasse to hide for a short period , but when I moved my Yellow from the 70 to the 60 - he went under the sand straight away but was out the following morning

I would not start rooting for him though as if it is hiding through stress related to tank change, then adding to this wont help

I can guarantee that the wrasse(actually NOT a coris wrasse but a halichoeres wrasse)is merely hiding in the sandbed.

My halichoeres wrasse (actually a radiant wrasse) hid for 2 hours when I bought him, and another 2+ hours in my 90g as I transferred him to my 200g tank the other day.

It finally came out tonight at frozen food time. Give it some time. It will pop up when it is hungry.

yah, 2 wks later and no wrasse, looked through the tank today and he must be KIA, and am fully aware they can live in sandbed.
