I just moded my nano cube to fit a prizm onto it. Only had to cut a 1" hole and a 5x.5" slit to make it fit. When i turn it up enough to get foam in the cup im getting exessize micro bubbles throuhout the tank. I was thinking of adding a series of baffles between the return chamber and spout. do you think the baffles will help or are the bubbles so fine that their boyancy will be overridden by the water flow? Heres a quick rough draft i made on paint to show my idea, not to scale.

Wow. I say go for it. If it works you will be a genius! ;D
    Cool idea.

That said, is this skimmer new? If so, they tend to release bubbles a bit more until they break in.

(Hey everybody, you can click on the link next to the paperclip at the top of the post to see the full size image. ;) )

It's a used skimmer i got from a freind @ work. Im going to get some super glue tommarow and try it out....i almost forgot: Do you think that super glue will have any affects on my tank critters if i let it dry for a while, or let it run in a buicket to wash fumes out?

Super glue is fine. Many, including myself, use it when still wet to attach coral frags to rocks. Good luck!

I tired the baffles and they failed miserably, so then i tried some superfine filter media....no go. I decided to attack the bublles after they have left the skimmer. Using an old vacum cleaner attacthment, i cut it in half lengthwise with a bandsaw. I then capped off the ends of them to creat small " closed halfpipes", inside of them i put three small sections of finefilter media . Placing one under the outllet of the skimmer at a slight angle, then another below that one in the oppsite direction into the final satge of my filter. SUCESS!!!!! to a degree. I still get small bubbles but not nearly the amount before. My camera is charging so ill post pics of the components and final mod later. Ive also only had the skimmer working for about 3 days...so its not even broken in fully, but thanks to my impatience i have reduced my breakn time for skimmers...lol.

I bought the prizm deluxe and had the same micro bubble problem. All i did is put a rolled up nylon stocking over the return, catches all the bubbles, just have to clean it once in a while... but does a great job for the bubbles.

I tried that, but my tank is 12 gallons,It seemed to help but i added the "halfpipes" for total bubble anihalation, plus its another mini filter.
