micro bubble problem.....

    K, camera is back online, i cut a small slit for the return and a hole for the intake. It all fits in the filter!!!! Has already pulled a thick 1/4 cup of grime (pretty good for a prizm)...many bag on this skimmer, but when used on the right sized tank they are very efficient.... ::)!

    A few years ago I had a Skilter... talk about micro bubbles! it looked like there was more air in the tank than water! What a piece of junk that thing was

    yes, i tried the baffles.....i ended up making a small set of half pipes (with ultra fine filter material in 3 parts) that run the return h2o through em....giving the micro bubbles time to escape before they goto my mini-sump. My skimmer is running great. I would post a pic but i'ld have to take my skimmer off, i dont want to mess with it...sorry.

    Hmmm well about the bubbles...when i first got my skimmer it did alot of bubble and lemme think...i remember after i added...somthing i got a mass of bubbles....damm i wish i could remember well if it dont go away by itself just put a sponge at the output :)
