Micro Bubbles

    Does anyone know how to get rid of micro bubbles in the red sea max. They appear to be comng out of one of the outlet valves. Do micro bubbles tend to go away after a while or continue.

    They sell some round sponges that you can attach it to the output tube of the skimmer. That should solve the problem. Luna

    I have the same problem with my turboflotor 1000. I dont know exactially what i can do but I figured sponges would do something...

    Its a massive hassle to remove the skimmer to fit anything to that

    I had to use sponges also.

    How long have you had it for? If it's new it could be still in its braking-in period. If it's old, have you added any additives to the water? medications? have you noticed if this happens when you add/change new water? Those could be the culprits. If none of the above apply, buy a bubble trap.

    The whole system is new and has been alterred a few times

    If you've altered it a few times and it's new...let it be for a while. Most skimmers, to my knowledge, take about 2 weeks to brake in.

    where do you get either bubble trap or sponges for outlet from

    Sorry man Mine came with them... My lfs carrys them.. If not cut down sponges that may be bigger than what you need and cut them to work.....
