My tank just got to the stage that I could turn on my skimmer. Ever since its been on, my tank has been full of micro bubbles coming from the return from the sump. If anyone knows what I could do about this I would really appreciate it. My tank doesn't look very good right now.

    Thanks

try adding a 90 elbow on the pump inlet and have the open end of the 90 sucking water from the very bottom of the sump, this was advice from tangster and works really well, if that dont help then if you can point the skimmer output strait down into the water try then putting a black foam prefilter ,( like the ones that come with mag drive pumps, and overflow boxes)over the output, wont cause back pressure.if you dont understand any of this i can send you a pic.

if all that dont work than maybe you have a air leak along the return somewere.

i battled micro bubbles for so long, but finally have them gone.

I had the micro bubble problem when I first set up my skimmer. Try adjusting the skimmer where the bubbles are just starting in bottom of the neck in the cup, this should solve your problem
